Well I mean the thing they could do is have the price of each item in the created outfit and in the case of collector Items makea standard price (let's just say 15$$)
so like this is a combination of:
http://us.ohmydollz.com/img/big/171.png which is 1$$$
http://us.ohmydollz.com/img/big/59854.png which is a collector's so 15$$$
so together it would be 16$$$ to 'copy' instead of this random price:

That was a two piece example but I'm sure people want to make elaborate outfits. So here's this one I have:

which consists of:
http://us.ohmydollz.com/img/thumb/28457.png Price: it's from Dollz Story so I'm going to estimate 7$$$
http://us.ohmydollz.com/img/thumb/46023.png Price: 7$$$
http://us.ohmydollz.com/img/thumb/66259.png Price: 3$$$
http://us.ohmydollz.com/img/thumb/73086.png Price: 5$$$
http://us.ohmydollz.com/img/thumb/67382.png Price: 4$$$
http://us.ohmydollz.com/img/thumb/9618.png Price: 5$$$
http://us.ohmydollz.com/img/thumb/79368.png Price: 5$$$
http://us.ohmydollz.com/img/thumb/78876.png From Playa so I'm going to estimate 5$$$
http://us.ohmydollz.com/img/thumb/479.png Price: 15$$$
http://us.ohmydollz.com/img/thumb/70157.png Price 15$$$
http://us.ohmydollz.com/img/thumb/57050.png(x2) Price: 13$$$
http://us.ohmydollz.com/img/thumb/70195.png Price: 15$$$
http://us.ohmydollz.com/img/thumb/73204.png(x2) Price: 5$$$
http://us.ohmydollz.com/img/thumb/70202.png Price: 3$$$
http://us.ohmydollz.com/img/thumb/24775.png Price 5$$$
Making the Total: 130$$$ (If I did my math right)
Plus let's say 10$$$ extra for the Copy option
GRAND TOTAL: 140$$$
I think that's a more understandable price than the ones randomly generated...
But if you think about it. The copy price seems to be the cost of the items plus the $30 cost of sewing them together. Which doesn't seem that unreasonable or random considering you get to keep the original elements and the new outfit. The only unknown variable is what they decide the Collector items are worth.

I really love that we got this option. I'd love it even more if it was working correctly right now but I hope it gets fixed soon.
Only issues would be prices of copying items. I can understand why complex outfits are expensive but the issue if how expensive they can get and lack of our understanding what this price is based on.
3 of my outfits exceed 1000 $$$... cheapest has 9 elements (and I think none of the items is collector item), next one is 6 items... and the most expensive is 5 items... with the price of 1590$$$... :hypn:

Eek! Assuming these are all Collector items, you're better off using the Item Multiplier.
For those where fee'z are not an option, this provides an alternative, but yeah, it'd be nice to know how those prices are calculated.
I was finally able to get my creation today!!!
What I learned from my "sewing machine" experience:
If you don't want the shoes, jewelry or hair included... take them off.
When the "creation" is placed on the doll, the hair can only appear behind her head.
Not having those items wouldn't have made it cheaper, but I wouldn't have to put another wig on her to cover her scalp up.
COST: 30 Diva Buck
PENNYDANE

I'm having that issue as well. Also if I leave it off to the side, when I come back it has moved behind everything it was left in front of.
That has to be a bug. Especially when I play with your Pennydane doll, Sierra, the outfit works just fine, the hair doesn't go behind the doll. Does it happen when you save? Or always?
I have the creation but, can I unsew it? I wish I could because I did a test and I want the pieces separated... :pleur: I think that the most part of the bugs are fixed.

No you will not be able to unsew it. That is why they give you two options.
Sew- Means to use the items without making a copy of them.
Copy- Means to sew the outfit together and make a copy of those items.
I just did a test and I regret it. :pleur: thanks anyways
Almost a month later, I've finally given in to create my very first outfit:
Very Nice!!
