I love the house of the Plond! I felt at ease right away, and the family I live with is as nice as the job advertisement suggested. There is Ami Plond, the head of the family, Grory, her sweet and awkward husband, their two adorable boys, David and Matt, their daughter Oswald and their old cat Peter, a grumpy as they come. But I am sure that beneath his angry air hides a golden heart... I immediately agreed with Oswald! On the other hand, the two little ones may be very cute, something tells me that they will prove to be true scoundrels...

Step 3: Routine

My days were organized and I quickly found my place in the daily newspaper Plond. In the morning, I prepare breakfast and lunch for everyone: coffee with milk for Grory, tea for Ami, hot chocolate and orange juice for the boys, cranberry juice for Sarah, deluxe mashed fish for Peter . Then, eggs, pancakes and bacon for everyone except Oswald who is vegetarian, and I set about making sandwiches for lunch (except Oswald who prefers to prepare her salad on her own). Bacon again, roast chicken, cheddar... And if you could see what they eat their chips with! Pepper, vinegar, sour cream... I clean the dishes, then I help the boys to prepare to go to school, I make sure that they get on the school bus and I go home a bit. Phew!

I love the calm of the house after the departure of all the children, especially David and Matt. We found ourselves, Peter and I, quietly sitting in the kitchen. I love the decor of the Plond, it's so elegant! I sip a cup of tea before going to my housekeeping chores. I have usually my afternoon free, if I manage my task quickly. But I have to be back before the two tornadoes. But today, my plans fall on the wayside: It's pouring rain and I have no desire to go out. What if I took the opportunity to cook something, like preparing a soufflé for tonight? Just for a moment, I had the unpleasant sensation of being observed. The clock in the kitchen fills the silence with a tic-tac sound that makes me uncomfortable. I have a shiver in my back, as if something was staring at me... I put my spoon full of dough down and turn to the window. I'm sure I saw something moving in the garden. Peter? Is it you?

Step 5: Discomfort

Determined to figure this out, I step out on the doorsteps and call out. No cat anywhere. I walk around the house, trying to persuade myself that he most likely gave up on his walk because of the weather and took shelter... I suddenly hear a noise near the garage. Peter? Here, kitty, kitty? I push the door and enter a dark room that vaguely smells of engine oil and dust. It's dark in there, no way to find the light... and I finally distinguish a silhouette in front of me, motionless. It's a statue of an angel, the face in his hands! I did not know that the Plond had that in their garage. It's stupid we could see it better if it was sitting outside. Although, when I look at it, I find this statue strange, it makes me feel uncomfortable... and besides, what is it doing there? Suddenly I feel a dull anguish, I cannot detach my gaze from this statue... but it is stronger than me... "Do not blink!"

But... but... I was in the garage, there was that angel statue, that awful face and... everything is different! Help? Somebody? Where am I? "The question is not "where" we are, but rather "when" are we!" He's a man who just spoke. I do not know him, but his face is sympathetic and I desperately need a friendly face. "London, 1888! Those damned angels stuck us, unless... Oh, excuse me, I'm the Doctor. " "Doctor Who? "Quick, come! You have to go back to the blue box before night falls!" I do not understand anything, neither what he says nor what he does! He grabs me by the hand and drags me into a frantic race along a street that I do not recognize, amidst people dressed in Victorian fashion... It's amazing... Am I really in the past? We rush into a dark alley (Whitechapel, in Londollz, that?) Where disturbing silhouettes emerge in the light of the street lamps, but I do not have time to be afraid that the Doctor pushes me into a completely anachronistic phone booth! I landed on the buttocks, in the middle of an improbable machinery. Hand on a lever, the Doctor looks at me, inquiry. "So? Are you dreaming, or you deciding yourself to go?" I'm not even sure there's any logic behind it!

I do not know who this Doctor is, nor whether he's really a man... but does that matter? He tells me completely delusional adventures, incredible creatures, planets and eras that I will never see (or have not seen yet)... Thanks to his time machine, it will be as if I would have never left. I want to live to the fullest, and follow him to the end of the world! I do not know how, but the Doctor knew that I loved the paintings of the famous Van Gogh, and he made me an incredible surprise. From Londollz in 1888, transported by his incredible machine, we made in a second a small leap to France, near Arles, barely a year later... to come face to face with the famous Vincent himself, even in the midst of creation. Until now I had only guessed through his work who the painter was. I discovered a wonderful man, sensitive and incredibly touching, but also possessing a part of shadow and terrible suffering. Sometimes, from the greatest pains arise the most beautiful masterpieces. And even if I had the temptation to change history, to tell Vincent how well his talent would be recognized later in the future, and that he could find in him the strength to survive... it is his unique perception of the world, which is reflected in the beauty of his art, which will forever mark the generations to come, timeless.

This "doctor" is completely crazy! I must have taken a hit on the head, and he took advantage of my state of dizziness to tell me made up stories. Unless I have been hallucinated after being knocked out... Anyway, I found myself in the garage, which I had not left, with the rain starting to fall outside. No statue of an angel, no flying blue cabin, no disguised people or a doctor! I thought I heard the roar of a strange machine disappearing in the distance, but it could also be a car passing in the street. Peter the cat rubs my legs, delighted to see me, and I take him in my arms to bring him warm in the house of the Plond. I'm not going to finish the dishes right away, if I took a shot on my head (although I do not feel any bump), I have to rest. Lying quietly in my pretty English room, I savor the calm and normality that reign here.
