This thread has given me an idea.
I'm curious
And on another note...everyone's going to vote for my doll so I can have over 9,000 votes in one week, right? Okay...I know that won't happen. And that's okay with me.
Can I ask though...what's the purpose of having SO many items on your doll? Doesn't it make loading the page take longer?
It does make the page load slower, waiting for all those items to finally show up. And I'm only guessing that the purpose is that they want their outfit to look like they want it and not how we might be limited to some outfit we would "buy off the rack."
Having that many items to create that look is almost as baffling as their craving to have 15 to 20 thousand votes per week. If you look at their comments area, other dolls are blatantly posting that they have just voted for them by using their 100 dolls or 700 dolls. Good grief! that's a lot of logging in then logging out and logging back in with the next one.
I get lost with my 10 alts lol! and I don't even have enough money on any of them for such a creative look! How does she decide what to use?
Whoa OK. O.O
In trying to find a particular post I had made about the levels and the requirements for the last few levels, I ran across this post again. Upon clicking on the link of the first person I had been flabergasted about, that particular person only has ONE vote for the entire week.
But another who is in the top spot on the French site has 31 THOUSAND votes:

Why can't their mods stop this practise? The first person clearly states that they will give others codes for 600 daily votes. Just makes a person glad to be here.

It's not fair that they're giving away codes and such for votes. I actually find it disturbing.. code for feez? really? I don't understand why they need so many votes anyway..

I posted that at 10:16 am and already that particular doll has 3,000 more votes.
*sighs*

I remember reading somewhere that you're allowed to self-vote on the French version.
I'm surprised that there a very less rules there. I thought there would be more because it's the Main site..
Yeah. You'd think so...But I noticed from all the French players that join us here that they have no rules and are usually very surprised with ours.
Honestly, I think they use bots to give each other that many votes in so little time. I'm not sure how, but that's what I think. They need to have CAPTCHA codes in order for them to vote. Now they even have picture CAPTCHA's out now. Easier for the human to read and not for the bot.
a href="http://www.ohmydollz.com/?p=fiche&pseudo=ladyphantom">http://www.ohmydollz.com/?p=fiche&p … adyphantom
has over 30K votes again. Also, over 124 items to make up that ensemble she's wearing.
I'm wondering if there is also some other type of competition to create some sort of.... ultimate creation with as many items as possible? They must have a whole lot more money than me. And more imagination that I can come up with.
I will say right now, that I do not. have enough patience for that. That's too much. And the French Fashion shows are exquisite. They really take creativity to a new level!! (I get news from the french version so when the winners come, they show the three)
The only problem is...Not all of the 10K+ votes players are that amazing! Several of them use alt dolls to vote for themselves. At least that's what I saw some of them talking about.

Are they using their own alt dolls to vote for themselves? Because if they are...that would annoy me even more. I don't like that we hold ourselves to higher standards and seem to be ignored if that is the case.
I guess I just don't like cheating or working around rules.
Well, I guess I know why there's a 100 alt doll limit. O_o

Me neither, which is why I'll always fight to keep the no voting for youself rule in place.
I really don't know how they have the time to vote for themselves.
I seriously don't even see the point of it...Why in the world would you do that? That's cheating. Besides, the whole point of votes is to know what people think of your doll or loft.

If memory serves, the rule on the french server is this: You are allowed to vote for yourself, using alt. accounts, as long as you are manually doing it. If you use a bot to vote for yourself, then that is against the rules (for the french site.)

Me three! And, I'll be right there by your side, Anya, fighting to keep self-voting off this site. ;)
Something else that I find mind boggling with these dolls is the amount of RL money they must be spending to create the outfits they are wearing.
And it's frustrating when someone on our server finally decides, "this is the week that I go for my 1k voting trophies" & can't reach that goal when those on the French servers reach the 1k votes in about an hour.
It's just... how... how do they muster the time to do that? I mean, I got all the time right now and I probably can't do that.
Think about it. 100 accounts, most probably all of them are their own, and they get 2 votes each
Thats about 200 votes right off the bat! I mean i get annoyed just going on and off on 10 alts. I dont think i can manage 100

There might not be on the French server..
I don't think there is any point is beeing angry about that. First of all this is different server and we are not competing for votes with them, we also have different rules, and if theirs work for them it is not our concern.
And even what is more... Not all of people getting that many votes are using only their accounts to get those votes. There are some buying Feez for others to get votes. Also some of those dollz are buying a lot of things for more than 10x times to complete their outfits and doing every quest. So if there are at least some people paying a lot to get that many votes, and Feerik is getting money from them it is even better for us all, as this game will keep up as long as there are people willing to pay for some bonuses. Therefore those rules won't change, and I think we should look on bright sides of this and worry rather about things that actually make our time here less enjoyable and we can do something about it (like Dollz Story Store).

Is it really? So what is the point of exchanging votes? If you exchange votes with other doll it is not always because you think this doll is that great, but because you simply want the to vote back. So in other way you are also "buying" their votes with your own. And a lot of people here are doing so and it is ok with most of us. There are also a lot of people voting for dollz owned by people they like. We all have some daily votes we can give to others and are free to do with them whatever we like. Way in which we decide who give them to is a personal choice of every player ;)

Although it is a different server, each server from each country is owned by the same company: FEERIK. Other games that are in the business of making money which has players from all over the world also have rules & they do not have a different set of rules per server or per country; one set of rules for everyone.
When you report a doll, whether here or there, one of the things you can report them for is "Traficking Codes" which if any of those dolls who are giving votes to these dolls are receiving codes, then those voters could be considered to be "Traficking Codes."
The point of exchanging votes here, at least for me, it IS about meeting people. It's like with Facebook, 'what's the point of having 400+ friends?' With that, perhaps someone is playing one of their games & they needed another certain amount of "neighbors" and in inviting someone, occasionally you do become friends in a "PEN PAL" sense of the word. No, I don't really have a desire to meet anyone in person but I do care about those individuals. Not only do they offer me kind words in times when I need it, but I send out the same in their times of need. So for me, I don't consider I am buying anyone's votes. And another reason to votes for someone, is to view their dolls & lofts to see the various examples of creativity.
There IS a very long post/thread at the French forums discussing that particular practise, or at least there used to be. And in that thread, there were varying opinions of being for it or being against it. That thread had been locked.
I don't know why the French server seems to have a different set of rules from us but I do believe that everyone version from any available country should have the same rules. That's not to say I want this version to have the ability to have the 'mass voting.' I am fully against it and believe it or not, on the French server.... there are some of those dolls who for whatever reason have been banned.

Just my 2c.
~~~I *highly* doubt many of them use 100 alts or more to vote, more than likely it's a hack, much like the autobots used to get high views on YT and cheat codes. There's also multiple generators you can download.
~~~In terms of rl $$$ for feez, same thing. You can use a fake credit card number and pin code, if not just a straight generator or hack code.
I personally fight against all such cheating, and I DON'T use any of my 5 dolls to vote for myself. I might not have as many votes, but by golly the ones I have make me proud, because I *earned* them. I also DON'T buy bonuses in any game, what's the fun of making it pay-to-win?
I'm against all hackers, cheaters, scammers and spammers, in all games and on the web. I believe in earning progress thru the game, not buying it. For example, on LotRO, I deed farm instead of buying their version of Feez, and always have. Self progression makes each goal worth more to me, and gives me more satisfaction for the days, weeks and even months it took to earn/complete a goal.
