Friend Lost

This morning my first horse, a small grey arabian named True or "Dream Come True" was put down.

He's been sick on and off since early spring, and it keeps getting worse and worse. Yesterday, the vet had to be called in because he didn't eat for four days. The vet said with his hear rate the way it was she was surprised he didn't have a heart attack. He's fluid leaving his body was brown.

Even if we gave him treatments, the vet still didn't think these spells would stop. We didn't have the money for surgery. The best option the vet told us was to just put him out of suffering.

So today guys, go out and give your pets a hug and kiss. I only had True for a year, yet I loved him so much.

Oh no! That's so bad, I'm so sorry for your loss.
But hey, he had a really nice name, I hope he fullfilled it somehow.
If that was the only solution and was loved up until that time, he's still happy, right?

Aww! I'm so sorry! I feel so bad for you. I pray for you and your family, and also for True. I hope he was a dream come true. At least he's in a better place, now. At least he's no longer suffering. Deepest sympathies.

I'm sorry. I know how you feel. My thoroughbred/quarter horse got struck by lightning two months after I had gotten her. I still miss her to this day and she died in 2004.

That's horrible, Ilovem. I'm so sorry. I know what its like to put a pet down and it's never pleasant.

I am very sorry for you loss.. I know how it feels. It's very easy to get attached to a pet that we love. I used to have a pet when i was younger.. And sadly, he died. :(

Sending my condolences, as I lost by cat off 11 years a couple of weeks ago. It's a sad ordeal, I hope you will be okay soon
