i've just seen a post about this on facebook and it kind of got me curoius.
what exactly is this Abercrombie & Fithc store?
Clothing company
Yup, clothing company. They sell casualwear. Definitely not one of my favorite stores, but it's quite popular. In my opinion their clothes are overly expensive, considering that there's nothing too special about them.
Is that the one with all the hot male models?
Yes, that one.
Also, they have a super dark store interior that reeks like crazy like perfume of some kind. Apparently it's because they only want a certain type of customers of a certain age. I guess I'm too old for them to want me to shop there. Ugh. I can't stand those kinds of stores!

Yeah, you can always smell Abercrombie like 5 stores down before you even get to it.. :)

LOL
oh my what is that perfume for? some sort of client repellent?
or maybe some sort of hidden cult? (all dark and the perfume and stuf)
I agree with golden light.
They sell flannel shirts for $78. They literally look like any other flannel shirt; the only difference is that it's got "Abercrombie & Fitch" on the shirt tag.
Anyway, it's way too pricey for simple clothing. A favorite store of mine is Hot Topic, and I could buy a couple novelty shirts from there with $78.
Oh gosh, like the first time i went to one was in Singapore and I was just noping out of there.
Abercrombie and Fitch-NEVER go there. Our teacher gave us a lesson about it.
Apparently, they don't want "losers" wearing their clothes (their words, not mine). That's why they don't have x-large and x-medium girls 'cause they don't want "fat girls" wearing their clothing. They also burn their unsold clothes rather than see homeless people wear them. :) They also kicked a grandpa outta their store because he was buying clothes for his granddaughter and he looked like a "loser". (Their words, not mine. And. . . . poor grandpa.)

they... do... WHAT!?
o_O
please, don't let me ever know what their CEO looks like. nor what any of their workers look like. nor where to find one of their stores. or else i'll be arrested for making what the nazi did to the jews look like kindness compared to what i'd do to people like that.

I have a friend whose brother is an Abercrombie model and I don't think it's that bad. You're right about the girl's sizes thing but there are a lot of stores which only sell smaller sizes and it just means that they are targeting a particular type of customer.
I might be wrong, though :)
This came up a few months ago online. This is a picture of their CEO:
I wouldn't really say he's a fine example of the kind of Hotness they target, n'est pas? Yikes.
Also, there was this guy who ran a campaign and took donations of A&F clothing and handed them out to homeless people as a stab against A&F. Brilliant.
There's an A&F across the Barnes&Noble I usually go to. It's very hard to ignore with loud pop music and cologne wafting in the air while one is trying to read.
I've only gone in there once out of pure curiosity; not only was it tacky surfer-beach themed (could be because I live in California, eh), it is VERY dimly-lit and expensive (that's how they get you!). I didn't experience any employees trying to escort me out (the store itself handled that).
I have heard of all this A&F controversy, and honestly it doesn't shock me. I've been to places that were selling 99$ jeans ON SALE (I'm lookin' at you Zumiez). Unless the fabric was made out of unicorn hair and the blood of a mermaid, there should be no reason to sell their clothes at such redonkulously high prices. And then throw them into a fire because nobody can afford them. A+ business skills right thurr.
Stores like THIS are why I go thrift shopping.

this is actualy an even better idea...
well, i've never seen that store in my country... and i forgot what on earth i was going to say. o_O

Meh. Looks like your typical business CEO - a variation on Donald Trump, if you will.

Agreed.
I'm gonna pop some tags
Only got twenty dollars in my pocket
(Ok. I had to do that.)
There's not much designer expensive stuff where I live.. I think.. I don't really pay attention to what brand it is when I buy stuff and those times are very rare cause I absolutely hate shopping. I always feel so judged when I do.
Stores are evil.

yeah, i could have just said "i know that feel" instead, since there wasn't a better easy-to-find icon for that meme in google search...
