I took this from a site. :D

This song has some verses in it which are taken from an old Gujarati Folk song. This folk song is based on an episode in the mythological tale of ‘Ramayana’. This song tells us about the conversation between Lord Ram(Hindu God/Deity) and Shabari, an ascetic whom Lord Ram and his brother Lord Lakshman encountered while they were in exile.
Here, Shabari is asking Lord Ram to stay at her Ashram so that she can have the honour of serving him. But Lord Ram politely refuses and tells her that he can’t
do that as his wife Goddess Sita is anticipating him and Lord Lakshman, his brother in their hut.

And this is the song meanings.
