...Violin, cool? I thought it was just me that thought that :D It's not like a Stradivarius or anything, but...yeah.
Whoa, Computer Science has a lot more layers to it then I thought...
155
Violin is cool and my ex used to play it when he was longer. He has a love for it.
156 Yeeeeah CS is kinda different from what people think it is.
Angel, it depends on what you want to do with it. For example:
- If you enjoy research, then some people end up working in big university labs helping develop software that helps analyze and predicts things. For example, one of the people I know works for one such lab helping analyze animal populations and predict them. They use her software to help get rid of a certain kind of mosquitoes or something.
- If you enjoy gaming, then most probably, you'll end up studying a bit more about physics and psychology and end up helping with that.
- If you prefer working on software/services that helps with fashion and shopping then most probably you'll end up working with a company or a studio that will say help look at dresses and find similar ones online.
Or you could end up working for one of the big three: Amazon, Microsoft and Google where you might end up working on diverse things all the time.
In all, the code might look similar, but you use that code to model different things and achieve different goals.
Some people who enjoy breaking things more than building do actually choose to become Software Testers. They write code to hack, overload and break the original code to see if it can hold on.
Some people end up not writing code at all. Those are program managers. They are experts in helping the client understand what they really want (believe me...more often than not, they DO NOT know what they want) and then turn that into actual technical specs an Engineer can use.
Long story short, it depends on what you want to do with it. In college, you'll learn how to think, how to analyze, how to learn (super important) and how to write different types of code. You work on mini projects (most are actual life problems) from Freshmen year. And then when you graduate, depending on what you want to do, you apply to one or more fields and one or more roles.

Is the-scarlett-temptress Rare on Tumblr?
155
That's twin's account (look at her sig ^^)
But what are you trying to do with it darky?
156 About me personally? Like what I, darky, want to do with it?
155
Yeah, Malu, I have it in my sig. It's not kid friendly all the time though.
156
Yep! What do YOU plan on doing with the knowledge of Computer Science
155
Yea... I just sorta un-followed you Bloody..
I'm doing Comp Science too.
OK.. I'mma tell a story since Angel made me remember just now when she said
"Yep! What do YOU plan on doing with the knowledge of Computer Science"
Friend N seeing friend A study: Why do you guys even study when you don't know how to even play with the computer?
Me: We don't actually study to USE we learn how to MAKE it. *Shows Fetch Execute Cycle notes*
Friend L: Nope. We study for tests.
Random but sorta on topic..
154
*shrug* I expected more to when I changed it up. My tumblr says more about me then anything so...
155 lol malu! I had friends like that actually, haha! And I kinda do that with some other courses :P
Well, Angel, I kinda have one goal that I'd like to get to eventually but still need to learn other things to get there.
Teaching through games. Did you know that more people learned history from Assassins Creed than from history classes? Yup...TRUE. Games can be powerful.
Imagine if we replaced long 700+ boring textbooks with games. That are not the stupid cheesy boring educational games. That are super fun! And also teach you whole curricula.
154
we found a prayer book from 1888. That's 126 years old!
153
WOW that's old! Is it in like Latin or something?
History really got interesting around when I read Steampunk. Learning needn't be boring, but that's what it is right now...

Surprisingly no. English.
I love history. I hate the politics of history. Confusing, stupid, and repetitive. The lot of it is.
151
Huh...thought for sure it would have been in some other language...Disappointment... So did you like FIND it or...?
The politics is my least favorite part. But I have to suffer through it, more then most people would. Warning, if you don't like politics, don't WRITE steampunk...Especially one that takes place right before a war -.-
150
I love steampunk styles. Nothing much more. I hate politics and that is a gist of history. I was in an Advanced Placement course for US History and hated it because of all the politics. I don't do politics. Bunch of lying that you can't tell who's who and all it is is picking the better liar. It's disgraceful and uncalled for. The US is built up on lies. Didn't start that way but it became that way and grew that way.
Yes we did actually. It was left in this old house from the last resident.
149
Yeah, In a way, History just depresses me. 'cause it's like to be on top, you have to be a nasty liar who only cares about themselves. And really, more or less, no one really benefited. Which is why I like steampunk, I get to twist things slightly (When I Write).
Oooh, so it's kind of like treasure, just waiting to be found, waiting for someone to stumble upon it
148
History is depressing. Violence, Death, Lying.
Pretty much lol
149
But it's so exciting! All these idiotic people that are LEADERS because a group of people rallied behind them. It's how all societies are made. While all the sane people, those who think things through and see them for who they really are don't stand a chance. It shows just how many stupid people there are in the world.
That bible finding sounds really cool. Just a random thing in a random house 0.0
148
How are stupid people exciting?
149
They're absolutely brilliant when you look at them from the sidelines. These are the people making all the decisions in the world and yet are also the ones that are complaining the worst.
148
And create a mockery of it all
149
And it's still so amusing ^^
148
You are an odd cookie lol
149
^^ But it's so fun to watch! See, I look at the world like I do TV.
