Hello dollz,
Today is the 4th of July, and in the United States, they are celebrating their Independence Day. OhMyDollz is based in France, but we wanted to make a small event in their honor.
We propose you a Happy Day all day during July the 4th! But be careful: we have adapted the schedules to best fit the time slots of North America.
There will be items from stores, old collectors, and gifts!
CET: This event will take place from 8pm on the 4th of July to 4am on the 5th of July
And these images only show a glimpse of what will be available, there are still plenty of other objects waiting for you!
It is a opportunity you cannot afford to miss 😉
How does it work?
During the 4th of July 2017, from 20 pm to 4 am (CET), keep a good eye on the “Promotions” in the top left corner of the site. Every 15 minutes, a new item will appear!
Every time you see the button it means a new item is available!
All you have to do is mouse over the item to see it enlarged and click the “Buy” link under the button to get it. You can even buy it multiple times.
Each item will only appear for 15 minutes. At the end of these 15 minutes, it will be replaced by another object. So be quick if you don’t want to miss anything!
About Collectors’ item
Beware, the game’s collector Items are priceless. During the event, their price will be seen as 100 $$$, but this price does not indicate their real value! For this Happy Day, we’ll offer them at the price they would have been if they were available in store. In other word they will be far more valuable that what they seem!
Be sure to check the current promotions this sunday on OhMyDollz!
I hope this is just a one off or isolated event because there are other English speaking countries & this game is based in Europe not US. If this game was based in US it would have been a different story. I know a lot of players have been complaining about the happy day event & trying to persuade Feerik to change the time for the English version but not every player on this version lives in US.. And there are also time differnces in US which is also confusing. I think for the happy day events instead of starting so earliy in the morning, they should start at a time convenient for everyone e.g.3pm to 10pm or they should change the way the event is done (especially at christmas) because other games have different methods of giving out gifts which is satisfactory to everyone.
This is a special event for the USA because it's our Independence Day; so the rest of the world, including English-speaking countries, don't celebrate America's independence. That's why the time difference is especially for the USA. But I must say, unless I read wrong, the event starts from 8 pm (night time) to 4 am July 5? That's when all the fireworks start happening, and who will be staring at they computers at that time? And who's going to stay up all night afterwards, just to see what items will be offered? This time is actually terrible for myself. Not to mention the USA has four different time zones, so that's going to be a little confusing. If it's Central Time, Pacific Time would start two hours early (6 pm) which I can actually take advantage of...Mountain Time would be at 7 pm and Eastern Time Zone would be an hour later at 9 pm.
It says it starts 20pm (CET) = 8:00 French Time
Edit: Actually, i've gotten 2 responses for CET time, so I may be an hour off.
US time's:
Eastern Time: 2:00
Central: 1:00
Mountain: 12:00
Pacific: 11:00
I think.. :P
I miss the days where they'd just give a dress or a shirt or something on a particular holiday instead of the Happy Days. I know that this is "beating a dead horse," but the time difference is always inconvenient for those who don't want to get up in the wee hours of the morning or stay up late at night. I agree, today is an American holiday it would have been nice to have had the times reflect our server.
Also... it's just like when you decide to have a rummage sale or garage sale at your house. The absolute WORST weekend to have it is a holiday weekend. Nobody is interested in going to garage sales, they are interested in that holiday and spending it with their family.
Hopefully I'll be able to grab some of these items.

Kudos to Feerik for recognizing our holiday and timing it so it is convenient for most US players. It seems to me, a common complaint has been the lack of attention/recognition that our server gets, plus how the European time translation affects US players... this event seems to be exactly what everyone has been asking for. Meanwhile, French players that want to participate in this event are starting at 8pm (their time) and have to stay up until 4am (their time).
While I understand some of the points made, based on the previews and previous happy days, the items offered are largely "re-runs" and will most likely be for purchase. As such, it is likely a lot of players will already have many of these items and/or will not be interested in actually "buying" them. Additionally, it looks like the event is scheduled to end before most (sorry Eastern) fireworks displays will start. So hopefully y'all won't miss out on too many of the festivities today! :)
If Feerik goes out of the way to organize an event especially for us, and all they get is negative reactions... how likely are they to ever do something like this again?
Thank you Sarah & Team Feerik!
P.S. Teaser? Or typo?
Be sure to check the current promotions this sunday on OhMyDollz!

These times are great!! At least for me. And the fact they say they did this event especially for the US is very touching :D Thanks Feerik!!
I hope my response wasn't negative, I just couldn't understand the time the event was to start. Thanks, Cocobelle. I'm hoping to get some fireworks and maybe a night sky? Not sure if they'd offer a sky, though...

I did too and sad about that. Thank you Feerik for the thoughtfulness of the time with the event. I actually have no complaints with the time compared to the other events which start at 4am to 2pm or longer where I live. The only thing I will say negative is me converging the time to my time zone. I'm not the greatest at it. I had the event pegged for 4pm converted to my time zone and it started before that. I suck at this.

Time Zones are always confusing, yeah. I always have to look it up actually.

What time is it for you when the game re-sets for the next day? Depending where you are, subtract that from 12:00 & you get your time difference. Remember that number, and subtract it from whatever time gets posted on here, for when things start where you live. :)
Thank you Fairy. The time it resets where I'm at is 6pm.
Come on, people!!! You should be happy! Feerik listened to you and tried to please you! They even adjusted the time so that you could take part in it. And I definitely agree with Mimi's opinion.
I would feel very happy if Feerik just remembers my country's independence day or Poland's or Japan's. It's a sort of pleasant "recognition" (in my opinion).
Btw, Happy independence day to all my American friends

Oh btw, Zarinen and Darkelfqueen, I moved the dress to my Flatmate room. So, if you want it, you can buy it with Feez. :) Now... off to bed
The time was listed in CET, which is always posted at the bottom of the game pages, too. So you could look at the CET time of the event, see what time it is now in the game, and calculate your time accordingly.
In regards to this event, I was VERY happy to see the times adjusted for the U.S. This was the first Happy Day I could actually take part in, even if it was just for a short time while I logged in for the day.
These were the few things I grabbed, times listed are in CST/Central time (apologies for any confusion with the times listed above):
6:00pm
$35 from $100 - Collector Item
6:15pm
$0 from ??? - Collector Item
6:30pm
$5 (I think) from $12 - Pet Shop
Memory is a little hazy on the prices, but you get the idea. :-)
