So I was looking at last year's gifts and noticed something weird. I have a picture saved of all the boxes open when the bug occurred. It'd be easier to post a picture of what I'm talking about but until someone asks for it, I'm not putting it up.

The dates are where they were last year. But guess what. They're also in the same boxes this year. It makes me think that this really may just be a bug...

Ah. They're replacing them now!! The same happened before and we got two wigs instead of one.

I suspect that the wig, either first-time or replacement, was given only to those who logged in after the "fix" (about 10:00 a.m., French time)... but before rollover on the 15th.

I tend to work half my accounts in the evening, just after rollover... and the other half in the morning.  The dollz I logged into last night got last year's hat.  When I logged into my remaining accounts this morning, the "replacement" wig was already there... automatically correcting the duplicate hat bug, in the event that I had already clicked on the calendar.  Since I had not yet worked my "morning" dollz, I opened their doors and got today's (now corrected) gift in the normal way... plus the automatically credited replacement gift, for a total of two wigs.

The wig was gorgeous, so I checked the loft of one of my "evening" dollz (without logging in)... but there was no replacement wig in the corner.  However, the new gift did appear upon logging in... giving me one duplicate hat (last night) and one replacement wig (this morning).

Since you logged in last night, they may have felt you did receive a gift... if not the correct one.

It would have been nice to have the corrected gift delivered to everyone, whether they logged in again or not... but that might have been a programming decision.  The two obvious solutions would be to:

1) Implement a code that determines who opened the 15th before the fix, and deliver the replacement only to them, or
2) Apply a widespread fix, delivering the wig to everyone (whether they opened the door or not).

In the second situation, people who did not log in yesterday (or today) would receive a gift that they technically did not "earn"... as would thousands of inactive and/or abandoned accounts.  It appears that they chose a third option, which was to deliver the corrected item only to those who logged in after the fix... whether for the first, or second, time.

That's just my guess... but I don't have any accounts that I didn't "double" log into to test it with.  I think you will probably have to submit a ticket to get the replacement wig, if you didn't log in after the fix.

Aww, you beat me to it. That's what I get for trying again to use not existent back-ground colors to get an item to stand out.

No to keen on the tree. All that pink hurts my eyes. I'm hoping next year we get a tree that actually has other colors; a year or two ago we  got a tree that seems to favor pink as well (although not as blinding to me).

Yeah, the last day is a beautiful red dress.  I have so so many red dresses, but I love them, my fave colors--Red and Black!
