Denise :
"Oh yeah. He has a dragon to fight."
Ryan :
"Mnooo..." I said and pulled my head away a bit then covered his mouth with my hand.
Leon:
I smirked and said, "Alright. Swimming time, then."
Aletha:
"He was training so hard the last few days. Took it a lot more seriously after what happened to us the first day while training."
Denise :
"I'm more curious about how your training methods worked than about his progress itself. I'm not letting you train Dustin after this anyways."
Ryan :
"Well you have to put me down first."
Aletha:
"Well... I'm sure you can train him better. I taught him what I was taught." I said getting up to change. "Why did you make me train him though?" I asked curiously. I wasn't angry or upset if anything I agreed with him. I was just curious why did he change his mind.
Leon:
"Bribe me."
Denise :
"I'm not going to regularly train Dustin myself. I don't have the patience for it... plus... even if I don't like to admit it myself I'm not perfect at every bending technique. I got to try them all and then pick the ones that fit me to perfect. I'll have him formally trained by masters. I had you train him now because he's too young for that."
Ryan :
I pouted. "Put me down Leon."
Leon:
I sighed and did so seeing she wasn't playing back. "Here you go. Now... Stay close."
Aletha:
"That does make sense. Well... Moment of truth?" I said after changing into a white jeans and a dark red top.
Ryan :
I smirked the pushed him laughing. "Make me." I said then started running.
Denise :
"Make me a sandwich first please." I said as I threw on some black sweat pants and a red t-shirt.
Leon
"You little..." I said running after her but not closing in too much letting her have her fun even though I could easily catch up with her thanks to being tall.
Aletha:
"Sure." I said as I headed to the kitchen where the kids were and started making him a cold beef and cheese. He needed the energy.
"Daddy's up?" Dustin asked looking nervous.
"uhuh ... heading over here for breakfast now."
Ryan :
I kept running until I finally tripped and fell down in the sand laughing.
Denise :
I got to the kitchen after getting dressed yawning. "Morning kids."
Leon:
I picked her up carrying her over my shoulder, "Now let's see how to punish you, oh runner."
Aletha:
"morning, daddy!" Lillie immediately hugged his arm when he sat down and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
Dustin seemed to not even notice he came into the room as he was staring absentmindedly at the blank wall. All of a sudden, he snapped out of it and cheerfully said, "G' morning, daddy!"
Denise :
"How are you two always up so early?" I asked and picked Lily up seating her on my lap. "Ready to fight for your sister Dustin?"
Ryan :
"Go easy on me." I said laughing.
Leon:
'Oh no you brought it upon yourself, you sneaky one." I said actually starting to walk with her into the water.
Aletha:
I smiled a bit as I thought to myself, "The reason they wake up early is I send them early to bed so we can have some alone time."
Dustin seemed a bit worried, but said attempting to sound confident, 'Yeah. I trained so hard."
Denise :
"Did you two already eat your breakfast?"
Ryan :
"Are you going to throw me in?" I asked starting to struggle playfully.
Leon:
'Ooooh yeah!" I said as I flipped her over into the water.
Lillie:
"Yeah daddy. We had cereal."
Denise :
"Grab some kind of fruit then."
Ryan :
I swam to the surface and then splashed him. "You're terrible!"
Aletha:
Dustin looked at him with puppy eyes, "I really don't wanna eat."
Leon:
"That's for making me run after you." I said with a smirk at the splash.
Ryan :
"Oh really?! I'm pretty sure you liked it." I said as I kept splashing him.
Denise :
"Well you have to."
Aletha:
Dustin pouted but he knew better than to object to his dad's orders. I placed Denise's sandwich on a plate in front of him. "Would you like some coffee?"
Leon:
"I did. I also will enjoy this." I said diving and re-emerging under her all of a sudden to carry her upwards.
Denise :
"No, some black tea would be nice."
Ryan :
"Don't drop me again."
Aletha:
"Sure." I said as I had already started boiling some water for some green tea for myself. Lillie had handed Dustin a banana while eating hers. She looked up at Denise and asked, "Is the dragon Dustin fighting big?"
Leon:
"I won't." I said bringing her into a bridal position, "You do look like a mermaid, by the way."
Denise :
"Yes. Huge." I said smirking even though it was just a baby dragon.
Ryan :
"I lack the most essential mermaid feature you know..."
Leon:
"Actually not really. According to latest textual findings, mermaids didn't necessarily have a tail."
Aletha:
Poor Dustin visibly tensed as Denise described the dragon. Lillie, on the other hand, seemed ... excited. She most probably figured Dustin was in no threat ... That ... or she really liked dragons. I handed Denise his black tea and said, "Why don't we leave the dragon topic till we meet the actual thing? We are going to see it very soon, anyways."
Ryan :
"Textual findings are wrong. Mermaids have tails."
Denise :
"Very soon as in right now." I said taking my mug and getting up. "Do your warmup, get your last advices from trainer mommy and let's all meet in the front yard after I get the dragon."
Leon:
"Why so sure? Oh is it because you are one?" I asked teasingly.
Aletha:
Dustin gave me the biggest puppy eyes I've ever seen and I couldn't help but feel sorry for the little one. "We'll catch up in a minute." I told Denise before taking the two kids to another room so Dustin would warm up. After following our normal warm-up routine, I sat him down and reviewed the most common tips about dragons as well as other pep up talks we've had before. And before he knew it, he was following me and Lillie to where Denise would meet us.
((Poor Dustin :P))
Denise :
By the time they got there everything was ready. I had the baby dragon prepared for the battle. It was just a big bigger than me but not any less scarier than the real deal especially when you're still Dustin's size. Original plan was to bend a fire dragon but I decided to give the kid some credit and have him fight for real. Plus... like this I won't be tempted to go easy on him.
Ryan :
"Mermaids are evolved water benders. They're real and they have tails."
