Perhaps my question is silly, but by "asian" you include China, Japa, India, Mongol, Vietnam... etc? Not just China for example.

That would be correct! :)
When they say position switch does that mean the extra appendages like the legs and arms? I just want to be clear on that before I make my outfit.

That's my understanding of it.
Can I have a silly question about crowns and diadems? Is prohibited only them (things which look like crown and diadems) and other hair accessory like hair sticks, hair chains, headbands, tiaras, flower wreaths or flowers are not?
I would consider: tiaras and wreaths to be prohibited too as they're the same thing. Unless used different from their original use, you know?
So Asian theme inspired but be more like a haute couture dress than a costume? Or either?

Yep, haute couture not a traditional costume :)
This is coming from the requirement in the description that says:
An Asian-inspired haute couture dress entirely created by you
Surprised that once again when it comes to these special fashion shows, people do not read what the theme is. I fail to see anything that is Asian-inspired haute couture in these first two outfits. Unless, someone can?
Also this third player literally didn't even customise their outfit to 50% either... they just threw on a outfit and a wig... really? Sure, the outfit was 'asian' but entering like that is cheating the theme and the point of this special fashion show. Even though I didn't enter, I'm sure I'm not the only one who finds it really unfair to those that entered.
I can't provide the name of these off-theme players since I'm not going to click and give them a vote, but hopefully something can be done. Those that did customise their outfit and did stay on theme deserves to win more than those players above...
Anyway, I did see some lovely outfits that I will definitely vote for daily! Really like some of this time's entries!
EDIT: Wow, I just realised that someone actually entered with the entire Chinese New Year Mermaid outfit... I mean seriously??

*sigh* It sucks when players don't respect the rules at all like that. The mod team is already working on disqualifying all the bad entries.
If you see a bad entry, please make sure to not vote for her.
I agree with. I have looked at the fashion show and there are a lot of dolls that are using the mermaid dress and and all the accessories. this kind of throws away the saying of ..
*(Are considered as “dressed up models” all characters that do not belong to the second skin types, dollz, dollz’back and dollz’men.)
"Are considered as “ready-made” non-customized outfits. You must customize your outfit to at least 50%."
I would upset if one of those mermaid people too because there is no creatively to their design because the majority of the items are already made.

Figuring out if someone is on theme is hard. There are some super awesome outfits but some leave me confused

I feel the same way as you 30stmxfan. To be honest, I am a fan of Asian style clothing, and I don't really find those outfits 'Asian' in any way. The last one is definitely not 'asian-style' in any way shape of form but someone could argue the detailing on the first dress you showed does look 'asian'.
Regardless, those dolls you posted should be disqualified anyway for not following this rule:
"Are considered as “ready-made” non-customized outfits. You must customize your outfit to at least 50%."
Simply throwing a full outfit on and adding one small accessory which doesn't affect the original outfit does not fulfil the requirement of customised to 50%. I feel like this is one big rule that is often not followed by players, not just in this show, but many.
I'm still seeing all the dolls that I posted screenshots of above in the Fashion Show today, so I do hope the moderators are in the process of disqualifying them. With so many people off theme for a big contest like this, they're lowering the chances of a worthy entry from winning- I would be shocked if the outcome is that one of these players enters the top 3.
The mod team is disqualifying all bad entries as they show up but we also ask everyone o not vote for any you see that are not respecting the rules. We're hopng to get everyone.
That's good news^^.
I was confused by dolls, which have “ready-made” outfits, position switchs, tiaras/wreaths and day outfits (which are not dresses). I saw someone who has a thing, which is in ''Gifts from other players'' (I think these things are from Gazette, but I am not sure). BecauseI remember that one of my dolls was disqualifyed, bacause one thing wasn't visible enough.
But I think I still see the outfits, which pictures is above (thes which were sent by littlemandy and 30stmxfan).

You really do need another mod dedicated to simply weeding out the fashion show failures.
I'm glad that I'm not the only one who gets screenshots of entries that are off theme.

This server not only needs another mod dedicated to the FS, but another mod in general. I often feel like our current mods are overwhelmed. I know that the French server is very different than ours in many ways, but they have players that are dedicated just for the FS and other areas.

Agreed. I check the fashion show daily to vote and most times stop voting after 2 minutes because I keep seeing the same off theme entries. When you've already voted for one person and the other two are off theme, you have to wait. Then you get them again and again. Waiting is a huge pain and it's frustrating not being able to vote for certain players because other players had the audacity to enter with out the theme in mind. I don't even think I saw Zarien's outfit. I saw one girls off theme outfit 5 times. Musical's outfit 6 times. Then more off topic outfits. Maybe i'm unlucky? lol
The mod's can only do so much if the engine of the fashion show limits them. A mod not being able to see ALL entries is a HUGE flaw.
